Survey on internationalisation of Indian higher education

      • Print

      12 December 2015

The Confederation of Indian University (CII) and Association of Indian Universities (AIU) have jointly initiated a survey on the internationalisation of Indian higher education and sought information from officers and teachers of universities on 16 questions.

The questionnaire is directed at Indian Vice-Chancellors, Rectors, Deans and heads of teaching departments. The survey will assist in identifying issues that need to be addressed for internationalisation of higher education in India.

The questionnaire also seeks information on programmes offered by Indian institutions with international partners, whether the institutions have dedicated international offices, and how many students they take from abroad.

The survey will continue till the end of December. A report on the results will be compiled by AIU and CII and submitted to the Indian Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and University Grants Commission (UGC). For more information, see here.
