Training India’s TrainersWed 28th October 2015

Dr Amanda Day, Counsellor (Education and Research), Australian High Commission congratulated OGM for rolling out for the first time in India the international trainer and assessor pilot course- collaboration between OGM, Kangan Institute and Indian training provider IL&FS.

Dr Day while on a short tour of the OGM training facilities also interacted with the students who found the course very relevant and useful. These courses are aligned with Indian training qualifications allowing Australian training organisations to work with Indian partners to help meet India’s skills needs.

The ITAC are a set of internationally-relevant courses developed by the Australian Government, in partnership with industry, to help meet the global demand for skilled trainers and assessors. The ITAC were developed in consultation with the national Skills Development Corporation India (NSDC) to support NSDC’s mission to fulfil the growing need for skilled workers in India and narrow the existing gap between the demand and supply of skills.

The three ITAC courses fulfil different training and assessment needs. The TVET Trainer Course and TVET Assessor Course provide participants with vocational background skills to train or assess learners in their industry of expertise. The TVET Advanced Trainer and Assessor Course provide participants skills to take a leadership role within an organisation, enterprise or industry. For further information about the ITAC please email:
