First Secretary (Education), Australian High Commission visits Rishikul Vidyapeeth School
Mr Ben Sakker Kelly, First Secretary (Education) at the Australian High Commission visited Riskikul Vidyapeeth School in Sonipat on 11 May 2015. He met with the Principal, Mr PR Mohanan, as well as teachers and administrators.
One such administrator, Mr Dheeraj Sharma visited Australia under the Australia-India Education Council’s School Leaders Professional Learning program in the year 2014. During the program, Mr Sharma gained valuable insights into Australian school administration, teaching and learning practices, and the Australian education system. He also stayed with the family of an Australian teacher, providing a valuable opportunity for cultural exchange.
During the visit, Mr Sakker Kelly witnessed competition and presented athletic awards during the 2015 CBSE National Gymnastics Meet, which was being hosted by Rishikul using its excellent sporting facilities. He also discussed collaboration between Rishikul and Australian schools, with teacher and student exchange highlighted as areas for future focus.
