Macquarie University, Australia strengthens ties with Business Schools in India: Inks agreements with Symbiosis International University, Pune and T.A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal
In a move that will have far reaching impact on the academic landscape of India and Australia, Macquarie, one of the leading Universities in Australia has inked two strategic pacts with prominent business schools in India.
The MOU’s with Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune and the T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal both serve to enhance inter-institutional exchange at various levels and aim at further deepening of relationships between the institutions.
Prof. Mark Gabbott, Executive Dean, Faculty of Business & Economics at Macquarie University and Prof. Philomena Leung, Associate Dean, International & Corporate Engagement visited India this month to strengthen their existing relationships with business schools in India and also sign the two new agreements with Symbiosis International University, Pune and T.A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal.
Speaking on the occasion of the visit and the new agreements, Prof. Gabbott said “Our existing and new partner business schools in India include some of India’s most prestigious business schools with whom we have forged a strategic partnership based on an integrated approach that includes student and staff mobility, coursework exchange, research training and academic collaboration. Our two new agreements with Symbiosis and TAPMI are steps in the same direction and we put great importance to both these initiatives.”
