IVY Hospital and Heraud Training & Education partners to start TAFE SA Healthcare courses at Mohali.
Punjab based Ivy Hospital and Indo Australian skill training provider Heraud Training & Education signed a MoU to start TAFE SA’s Healthcare course at Mohali. Ivy is one of the fastest growing hospital chains in Punjab having 5 hospitals currently with 2 more planned to start by March 2016. Initially, four courses have been identified for launch in July 2015.
i) Healthcare Administration
ii) Medical Lab Technology
iii) Radiology and Imaging
iv) Operation Theater Technology
More courses will be introduced in future.
Students will get the opportunity to study TAFE SA’s tested and recognized courseware. The unique feature of this partnership, and perhaps the first in India, is that the students will undergo 50% of training, including on job practical training, at Ivy Hospital branches. This will help impart hands-on skills to students in true sense and increase their employability.
Students that complete the courses will be offered jobs at Ivy hospital branches. Other hospitals will also be engaged to further support placements. Students will be given option for RPL by TAFE South Australia leading to further education pathways at TAFE SA.
Mr Shrutikant Banswal, Chief Operating Officer of Heraud and Mr Ravinder Tikoo, General Manager-Administration, Ivy Hospitals, signed the MOU. Mr Gurtej Singh, CEO of Ivy Hospital and Mr Amit Tikoo, CEO, Heraud Training & Education were present for the MoU signing and committed that this will be a value based for the students and the industry.
The courses will be offered to the students from July 2015 onwards and the enrolment has already started.
